37 hour post

NJC Point 29 (Fixed for project). Currently £32,029 per annum. Funding until 30th September 2021 (Subject to confirmation of extended funding).

About the job

The Bridge Operational Manager will provide management and leadership; overseeing project delivery for the Bridge Project; working with VoiCeS staff and Bridge Partners to achieve moving people furthest from the labour market closer or into employment, achieving targets and results.

The Bridge Project is an exciting employability project in Northumberland. The project is funded by the European Social Fund and the National Lottery Community Fund as part of the Building Better Opportunities Programme. Seven voluntary and community sector delivery partners are working in Partnership with Northumberland County Council, supporting long term unemployed people moving into or towards employment.  You will find more information about the Project here.

About the job

We are looking for someone with relevant and successful project management experience to be part of a Leadership team, to drive forward delivery, using an agreed core model and approach; and ensuring that all staff and delivery partners are clear on responsibilities. You will manage a team and work closely with Bridge Partners overseeing delivery of Bridge.

The role will take a day-to-day responsibility for the VoiCeS Bridge Team and delivery of Bridge. The role is demanding and varied. You should be comfortable working under pressure and to set deadlines, providing the opportunity to work with others to achieve objectives and targets, meeting funders expectations. The successful candidate will have proven people management skills for staff within an outreach based setting, and successful experience of delivering an employability or similar service with a performance driven approach to meeting targets. Looking for the right candidate to work effectively in Partnership across sectors.
